Where Bids Go Wrong
Small and mid-sized companies often win bids by working until 2 a.m.—scrambling for the right answer,
reusing content nobody trusts, and hoping nothing slipped through.

How It Works
About South Hills Advisory
South Hills Advisory Founder Zach Linton
I’ve spent two decades crafting proposals and steering compliance. My current role has me hands on with more than 100 RFx responses each year.
With past roles spanning a number of
industries, I’ve gained a range and ability to seamlessly come alongside organizations. My time in aerospace yielded more than 60 proposals totaling $900M+.
In addition, I’m PMP and APMP CF certified, and hold an MBA from Azusa Pacific University.
Named for the set of foothills just south of my home in Glendora, I launched South Hills Advisory to help companies win more business without the stress of managing the proposal process.
If bids are not your full-time job, they can be cumbersome and taxing. Working with a seasoned professional like me gives you the time and energy you need to focus on what you do best.
Questions
-
We act as an extension of your team, establishing a mutual NDA from the outset and maintaining documents within your preferred tools.
-
We are tool neutral and will tailor solutions based on your team's preferences and subscriptions. While AI workflows offer some advantages for automating bid processes and managing content, we are also happy working outside of these tools.
-
Timelines depend on the scope of work and availability of key stakeholders. We flex to your needs, and most projects start within a week of an agreed scope.

South Hills Advisory focuses on proposal operations: the process, content, compliance structure, and AI-assisted workflows behind your RFP responses. A few things we don't do:
Legal, contract, or regulatory advice. We can structure compliance checks and review processes, but we're not attorneys, and we don't give legal opinions on terms, certifications, or regulatory requirements.
Guaranteed outcomes. Win rates depend on many factors outside any consultant's control, including pricing, competition, and the buyer's decision. We improve your process and quality, but we don't promise wins.
Software licensing and implementation. We can advise on how to use the tools you already have, but we don't resell software or manage vendor implementations.
Classified work. We don't take on proposals that require a security clearance.
If you're not sure whether something fits, book a short call and we'll tell you directly, or point you to someone who can help.
